This tips could be useful for those who frequently print documents with many pages. Sometimes, printing process take so long in spooling process. When we print multiple documents,sometimes fail and usually the printer stop printing the documents because of the failure (error) of a queue of data that cannot be removed and we occasionally have to restart the computer to restart the printing process. Obviously this constraint will make us upset because it waste our time and you are also very cumbersome.

Actually,there is small tips to fix the printer with the problem as such with a free software named Stalled Printer Repair. With this software,the printing process can be halted due to various reasons, like data corruption when it being sent to a printer or printing process that is incomplete in sending the data that could not be removed. So that the print queue will not be able to run next. This is usually known by the term stalled or stuck print jobs.
By using Stalled Printer Repair, we can delete all the queues at the printer list, and then restart the printing process without having to restart the computer.

As I told you in the previous post,we can perform maintenance action on Canon Pixma MP198 all in one printer without being connected to the computer. In other word,we can access maintenance menu from the printer display.
To perform maintenance of the machine, press the Maintenance button repeatedly until the desired maintenance code below appears on the LED display, then press the Black or Color button.

Canon Pixma MP198 all in one printer is one of multifunction printer which equipped with self operation (maintenance action) on the printer without connecting it to the computer.
In this post,we will perform printing nozzle pattern to check nozzle condition.

Preparation:

• Make sure that the printer is turned on
• Load a sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Rear Tray
• Open the Paper Output Tray, then open the Output Tray Extension.
• Set the Paper Thickness Lever to the left.

Print the nozzle check pattern:

• Press the MAINTENANCE button repeatedly until A appears.
• Press the BLACK or COLOR button.
• The machine prints a nozzle check pattern.

After the printer finished printing nozzle pattern please examine the pattern and take the appropriate action.

Our topic today is how to reset ink level of FINE cartridge such as PG40B,CL41C,PG830B,and CL831C by using iPTool universal resetter. iPTools software, as far as I know,is not Canon officially released software. Someone with high creativity has created it.
Follow below procedure to reset ink level of FINE cartridge listed above.

PROCEDURE

• Preparation: get iPTools universal reseter
• Turn the printer on and connect it to the computer
• Run iPTools universal resetter (make sure that printer driver has been installed)
• Reset ink counter by clicking Reset Black and Reset Colour button.

Note on using iPTools:

• iPTools is applicable only for: iP1200,iP1300,iP1600,iP1700,iP1880 series
• Do not installed the cartridge that ink level has been reset to another printer for ink level will be back to original condition
• Do not installed another cartridge in printer that used in resetting ink level for the same reason mentioned above
