How To Reset Waste Ink Counter Epson CX6500 Manually

At this chance we talk about how to reset waste ink counter Epson CX6500. Epson CX6500 is a multifunction printer for SOHO user. When ink absorber of this all in one printer is full, reset waste ink counter is needed.
There are two method that we can use as usual to reset waste ink counter Epson CX6500 multifunction inkjet printer: manual reset by button pressing combination and by using SSC software. To reset waste ink counter of this printer manually,please check the following steps.

PROCEDURE

  • Press and hold B/W + COLOR + STOP button
  • Press POWER button, do not release all the buttons until you see the light indicator is blinking and then a message appears on the LCD display
  • Release all the buttons
  • Press the COLOR button to clear protection counter
  • Turn the printer off by pressing POWER button

How To Reset Waste Ink Counter iP1000: Repost

This is an old topic I had written few years ago in this blog actually. Never mind,who knows it will be useful for new people who follows this blog. When Canon Pixma iP1000 inkjet printer shows message 'waste ink absorber is full' it needs waste ink absorber replacement. But,under urgent situation you can only reset waste ink counter without replacing waste ink absorber. Please check the following steps to reset waste ink counter Canon iP1000.

PROCEDURE
I. Enter Service Mode

  • Hold down POWER button (do not release)
  • Plug in power cable
  • Press RESUME/CANCEL button twice
II. Execute Reset Operation

  • Connect USB cable between printer and computer
  • Set A4 paper size in paper tray
  • Run Canon iP1000 General Tools.exe. Download here if you don't have this EEPROM Resetter yet.
  • Select USB port
  • Click on EEPROM CLEAR check box
  • Click TEST PATTERN button, wait until a pattern completely printed
  • Turn the printer off and exit general tool

Tutorial How To Reset Waste Ink Counter MX308 and MX318

Applicable Models:
Canon Pixma MX308,MX318
When ink absorber of Canon Pixma MX308 or MX318 is full, the printer will show error message 'Check Printer 5B00' on the printer display while 'Waste Ink Absorber Full' shows on the monitor. Do you know how to clear this error?. To fix this error you must reset waste ink counter of the printer. The procedure is listed below in chronological  order to help you perform the reset procedure correctly.

PROCEDURE

I. Enter Service Mode:

  • Plug in power cable
  • Hold down STOP/RESET button
  • Hold down POWER button
  • Release STOP/RESET
  • Press STOP/RESET twice in a row
Now the printer is already in service in service mode.

II.Execute Waste Ink Counter Reset Operation:

  • Set a piece of A4 paper in paper tray
  • Press STOP/RESET button 4 times (POWER lamp and ALARM lamp will blink alternately each time the button is pressed)
  • Turn off the printer by pressing POWER button (The printer will print waste ink counter data before going  off)
When you turn on the printer,waste ink absorber full error is cleared and the printer work normally.

Reset Waste Ink Counter Canon Pixma iP6210D

Applicable models:
Canon Pixma iP6210D,iP6220D
Below is waste ink counter reset procedure for canon pixma iP6220D,iP6220D as state in canon pixma iP6210D service manual.

PROCEDURE
I. Enter Service Mode
  • Plug in power cable
  • Press and hold RESUME/CANCEL button
  • Press POWER button
  • Release RESUME/CANCEL button
  • Press RESUME/CANCEL button twice in a row
II. Reset Operation
  • Press RESUME/CANCEL button 4 times in a row
  • Turn of the printer

Reset Waste Ink Counter Canon i550

Applicable models:
Canon i550,i560,i850,i950
The following procedure is used to reset waste ink counter Canon i550. It's also applicable for the printer models listed above.

PROCEDURE:
I. Enter Service Mode:
  • Plug in power cable
  • Hold down RESUME/CANCEL button
  • Hold down POWER button
  • Release RESUME/CANCEL button
  • Press RESUME/CANCEL twice in a row
II. Execute Waste Ink Counter Reset operation:
  • Press RESUME/CANCEL button 4 times in a row
  • Turn off the printer by pressing POWER button
You get your printer works normally when you turn on your printer again.

Reset Waste Ink Counter Canon i450

Applicable models:
Canon i450,i455,i470D,i475D
PROCEDURE:
I. Enter Service Mode:
  • Plug in power cable
  • Hold down RESUME/CANCEL button
  • Hold down POWER button
  • Release RESUME/CANCEL button
  • Press RESUME/CANCEL twice in a row
II. Execute Waste Ink Counter Reset operation:
  • Press RESUME/CANCEL button 4 times in a row
  • Turn off the printer by pressing POWER button until the printer is completely OFF.
When you turn on your  printer it already works normally.

Reset Waste Ink Counter Canon PIXMA MP150

Applicable Models:
Canon Pixma MP150,MP160,MP145
This is the procedure how to fix waste ink absorber full error (error code E27). Please check carefully this following procedure to reset waste ink counter Canon Pixma MP150.


PROCEDURE

I. Enter Service Mode:
  • Plug in power cable
  • Hold down STOP/RESET button
  • Hold down POWER button
  • Release STOP/RESET
  • Press STOP/RESET twice in a row

II.Execute Waste Ink Counter Reset Operation:
  • Press STOP/RESET button 4 times (Indicator lamp will blink alternately Orange/Green each time the button is pressed)
  • Turn off the printer by pressing POWER button (wait until the printer is completely OFF)
When you turn on the printer,waste ink absorber full error is cleared and the printer work normally.

Reset Waste Ink Counter Epson Stylus T10

Applicable Models: 
Epson Stylus T10,T11

PROCEDURE

Preparation:

Steps:

  • Turn on the printer and connect the cable
  • Click Loader.exe to run program
  • On License Agreement window, click Accept button
  • Click Select button
  • Select the printer model
  • Select auto detection on Port menu
  • Click Particular Adjustment Mode
  • Select Maintenance>Waste Ink Pad Counter

The following window appears


  • Click Check button to show the counter value
  • Click Initialization button and wait until the operation is completed
  • Turn of the printer when you order to do so
  • Click OK button
  • Wait until an order to turn on the printer shows
  • Turn on the printer
  • Click OK button
  • Last, click Check button to ensure that the operation is successful
  • Exit adjustment program and operate your printer as usual

Reset Waste Ink Counter Canon i320

Applicable models:
Canon i320,Pixus xnu i320
PROCEDURE
Step I: Enter Service Mode
  • Hold down POWER button
  • Plug in power cable
  • Press RESUME button twice in a row
Step II: Operating EEPROM Resetter (General Tool)


  •  Run General Tool.exe
  • Connect USB cable
  • Select USB PORT
  • Under SET DESTINATION menu,click on: 1 for Pixus xnu i320,2 for i320
  • Exit General Tool and turn off the printer
The EEPROM data is cleared by setting the destination of the printer and get your printer work!.

Reset Waste Ink Counter Canon i255

Applicable Models:
Canon i series: i255,i250,i350,i355
This service action is needed to clear waste ink absorber full error of Canon i250,i255,i350,i355.


PROCEDURE

Step I: Enter Service Mode:

  • Hold down POWER button
  • Plug in power cable
  • Press RESUME button twice in a row
Step II: Operating EEPROM Resetter (General Tool)



  • Connect USB cable
  • Run General Tool.exe
  • Select USB PORT
  • Check EEPROM CLEAR check box
  • Set A4 paper on sheet feeder
  • Click TEST PATTERN 1 or TEST PATTERN2 
(Wait until the printer complete printing test pattern,EEPROM data is cleared while printing the test pattern)
  • Exit general tool and turn off the printer

    Now turn on the printer and you will get your printer work normally.

    Reset Waste Ink Counter Canon Pixma MP110 (Complete Steps)

    Applicable Models:
    Canon Pixma MP110,MP130
    In the previous post I have written the procedure how to reset waste ink counter Canon Pixma MP110 to fix absorber full error. I split the procedure in to part: enter service mode and reset procedure itself. If you don't like the split procedure here I rewrite the complete one.

    PROCEDURE:
    I. Enter Service Mode
      • Turn ON the printer
      • Press these button in the following order correctly: MENU,SCAN,COPY,SCAN
      II. Reset Waste Ink Counter
      • Press right arrow untill 'COUNTER ACCESS' appears
      • Press OK
      • Press right arrow untill 'ABS-M DOT COUNT' appears
      • Press COPY button
      • Set 'ABS-M DOT COUNT' to 0 by pressing left arrow
      • Press OK
      • Press STOP/RESET to exit service mode
        Your printer should work normally now.

        Applicable Models:
        Canon Pixma MP180,MP170,MP150,MP145
        As we know that we need to reset waste ink counter of the Canon inkjet printers to fix waste ink absorber full error. Please follow below procedure to reset waste ink counter Canon Pixma MP160.


        PROCEDURE

        I. Enter Service Mode:
        • Plug in power cable
        • Hold down STOP/RESET button
        • Hold down POWER button
        • Release STOP/RESET
        • Press STOP/RESET twice in a row

        II.Execute Waste Ink Counter Reset Operation:
        • Press STOP/RESET button 4 times (Indicator lamp will blink alternately Orange/Green each time the button is pressed)
        • Turn off the printer by pressing POWER button (wait until the printer is completely OFF)

        Canon Pixma MP145(140 series),MP150,and MP160 have similar parts and model. No wonder if the way how to reset waste ink abosorber error of these printer is just the same.

        Reset Waste Ink Counter:MP110,130

        Below the procedure resetting waste ink counter of MP110 & 130:

      • Turn ON the printer
      • Enter service mode
      • Press right arrow untill 'COUNTER ACCESS' appears
      • Press OK
      • Press right arrow untill 'ABS-M DOT COUNT' appears
      • Press COPY button
      • Set 'ABS-M DOT COUNT' to 0 by pressing left arrow
      • Press OK
      • Press STOP/RESET to exit service mode

        Reset Waste Ink Counter: Method 3

        Related Models:
        Canon BJC1000,BJC2000,BJC2100,S100,S200 series.

        This is a procedure to reset waste ink counter of the printer models listed above.

        Procedure:
        • First, make sure to remove cartridge, unplug power cord, & close front access cover.
        • Connect power cord while holding down RESUME/RESET button.
        • Release RESUME/RESET button,press and hold RESUME/RESET button for 5 seconds and release it.
        • Hold down RESUME/RESET button for 2 second or more then release it.
        • Unplug power cord.
        In this step your printer should work normally.

        Reset Waste Ink Counter (Clearing Waste Ink Absorber Full Error) for Group B

        Related models:
        canon i250,255,320,350,355
        canon pixma ip1000,1200,1300,1500,1600,1700,1800,1880,2200,2580 etc.


        Hi everybody! In the previous post I have told you how to reset waste ink counter for group A. Now I will explain how to fix Waste Ink Absorber Error for printer categorized in Group B (see also ..). One of type of this group is ip1000. Well, here is the procedure.

        To reset waste ink counter for group B, perform the following step:
        1. Enter service mode.
        2. Connect USB cable (you may also connect USB cable before entering service mode, no problem).
        3. Run General Tool for each series from your computer; select below procedure which appropriate with your printer model.

        For i320/xnu i320

        • Select USB port
        • In destination set: choose 1 for xnu i320, or choose 2 for i320.
        • Exit general tool and run your printer as usual.

        For i250 series (255/350/355), ip1000,ip1500

        • Select USB port
        • Mark EEPROM clear check box.
        • Click Test Pattern button, wait until a pattern completely printed.
        • Exit general tool and run your printer as usual.
        Note: ip1000 & have the same procedure with i255 series.

        For ip1200 series (1200/1600/2200), ip13000 series (1300/1700), ip1880


        • Select USB port
        • Click waste ink counter: Main & Platen
        • Exit general tool and run your printer as usual.

        Reset Waste Ink Counter: Method 1

        Canon Pixma iP series: ip3000,ip3300,ip4000,ip5000,ip4200,ip4500,ip5200,ip6600,ip6700,ip8500,ix4000,ix5000,pro 9000,pro9500
        MP/MX series: MP145,MP150,MP160,MP170,MP180,MP228,MP450,MP475,MP476,MP520,MP800,MX308,MX318,MX700,MX7600,etc

        This method is applied to reset waste ink counter of Canon inkjet printer stated above to fix waste ink absorber full error.

        Procedure:
        • Enter Service Mode Method I
        • Press RESUME/CANCEL button (STOP/RESET button in MP,MX series) 4 times in a row
        • Turn off the printer (Press POWER button until the printer is completely OFF. Notice: NEVER turn off the printer by disconnecting power cord!)
        In this stage your printer is already in normal condition and ready to use.
